During the Fall 2023-24 season, I had the privilege of serving as a Graphic Design Intern for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights Junior Hockey Program. This unique opportunity allowed me to work closely with a dynamic team that competes in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), a prominent American ice hockey league founded in 2012. The Knights play out of the Revolution Ice Centre in Pittston, PA, and are part of the USPHL's Elite, Premier, and NCDC Divisions, featuring players aged 16 to 20.

As a Graphic Design Intern for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, my role encompassed a variety of creative tasks aimed at enhancing the team's visual presence.

My responsibilities included:

Photography: Capturing high-quality action shots and candid moments during games and practices to be used in promotional materials and on social media.

Graphic Design: Creating engaging graphics for game day promotions, player spotlights, and other marketing campaigns.

Motion Graphics: Designing dynamic motion graphics for use in video content, enhancing the team's online presence and fan engagement.

This internship provided me with hands-on experience in the fast-paced environment of a junior hockey program, allowing me to develop my skills in photography, graphic design, and motion graphics. It was a rewarding experience that showcased the importance of visual communication in sports marketing and contributed significantly to my growth as a graphic designer. I would like to personally thank, Ray Welsh and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights Organization for providing me with my first internship as a graphic designer.
